What Is a CBD Gummy?

CBD is short for cannabidiol, which is a type of cannabinoid. Cannabinoids are a type of natural organic chemical found in hemp plants. There are dozens of known cannabinoids, and CBD is one of the most commonly known. The reason so many people are interested in cannabinoids is that they can bind to the human body’s cannabinoid receptors.

You have an endocannabinoid system that runs through your entire body. There are also naturally occurring endocannabinoids in your body. When you consume CBD Hard Candy, the cannabidiol binds with your endocannabinoid system, behaving much like the endocannabinoids your body produces on its own.
CBD vs. THC, Hemp vs. Marijuana
When discussing cannabinoids, it’s important to make two big distinctions:

CBD vs. THC
Hemp vs. Marijuana

CBD and THC are both cannabinoids, and both can bind with your body’s endocannabinoid system. Beyond that, these two cannabinoids are wildly different. CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, which means it does not create the intoxicating effects often referred to as a “high” from marijuana. THC, on the other hand, is directly responsible for those effects.

Since the presence of THC is what makes some types of cannabis intoxicating, we’ve developed different ways of talking about plants with or without it. In the United States, cannabis plants with no more than 0.3% THC concentration are referred to as hemp.

Plants with higher levels of THC are referred to as marijuana, even though marijuana plants often contain some (normally low) levels of CBD in addition to THC. In other words, marijuana will get you high, but hemp won’t.

Does CBD Get You High?

As mentioned above, CBD does not make people feel intoxicated or high. The World Health Organization has said that cannabidiol does not lead to dependence and that the organization does not believe this cannabinoid has the potential to lead to abuse.

The World Health Organization report continues, “CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile… Several countries have modified their national controls to accommodate CBD as a medicinal product. To date, there is no evidence of recreational use of CBD or any public health problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

Will CBD Show Up on a Drug Test?

So, does CBD show up on a drug test? The answer is maybe. Why the maybe answer?

Is your CBD at least 99% pure CBD (labeled as CBD isolate) )then the answer is no, CBD does not show up in drug tests.  This is because most drug tests are seeking out the metabolites and antibodies associated with THC, the cannabinoid that causes a feeling of being “high.”

That said, even though CBD itself doesn’t usually show up on a drug test, that doesn’t mean that CBD products won’t cause you to fail the test. That’s because CBD oil and other CBD products may contain trace amounts of THC ( for example full-spectrum CBD).

If you want to reduce your chances of failing a drug test or inducing a false positive, you should only purchase CBD products from reputable companies that use third-party lab testing and display their results either online or on the product itself.

Further, it’s essential to know what the various labels on CBD products mean. At White Label Bros, we will list our CBD products as either CBD isolate, broad-spectrum, or full-spectrum.

CBD isolate means CBD is the only cannabinoid used in the product. Broad-spectrum products will include other cannabinoids besides CBD but not THC. Broad-spectrum products do, however, usually contain CBN, which can induce a fall positive on a drug test.

Full-spectrum CBD products include most if not all cannabinoids present in cannabis, including THC (though in trace amounts to meet Federal guidelines).

So, if you’re looking to eliminate the odds of triggering a false positive or failing the drug test based just on a product’s label, CBD isolate is your best option.

However, a certificate of analysis will also enable you to see the true composition of broad and full-spectrum CBD products and allow you to make the best choice for yourself.
Positives of CBD Hard Candy
Our customers buy CBD Hard Candy for a variety of different reasons. We’ve heard countless stories about the way people consume cannabidiol to promote a general sense of wellness and enhance their enjoyment of life.

Still, it’s important to remember that (with the exception of one drug for a type of epilepsy), CBD has not been approved by the United States government as a form of medicine.

Organizations like the World Health Organization are exploring the science surrounding CBD. Their report states unambiguously that cannabidiol is an effective treatment for epilepsy in children, adults, and pets.

Furthermore, the organization has acknowledged “preliminary evidence” that cannabidiol may be useful for people with a variety of different diseases. The conditions mentioned include Alzheimer’s, psychosis, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and even cancer.

The effects of CBD on a human body occur because of the way cannabinoids can bind to the body’s endocannabinoid system.

That system runs throughout the entire body and interacts with a variety of different functions. We’ve even seen a study that identified “some preliminary evidence of a beneficial impact of CBD on cannabis and tobacco dependence.”

Here are some of the biggest reasons people buy CBD, along with the medical information related to cannabidiol.

CBD for Pain Relief and body discomfort: One study suggests that CBD helps people with pain and muscle spasms. Some participants in the study were given a placebo, and that group didn’t experience such good results.
CBD for seizures and shakiness: Of CBD’s many potential benefits, its ability to help people who experience seizures has the most scientific support. Here in the United States, there is even a pharmaceutical medication for seizures that include cannabidiol. A significant body of evidence shows that CBD reduces seizures even in people with conditions that resist other forms of treatment.
CBD for skincare such as acne: Contributing factors to this common skin condition may be both genetic and situational but normally relate to either inflammation or a natural oil called sebum. CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties might make it a viable natural solution for acne treatment, according to a study on acne remedies. Through test-tube experiments, some researchers even found CBD to prevent excessive sebum secretions.
CBD for focus and brain health: Recent scientific evidence has demonstrated that cannabidiol has neuroprotective properties, and CBD may even help with Alzheimer’s Disease therapy. People turn to natural CBD to slow mental decline and improve quality of life by facilitating sleep and movement.

If your reason for buying CBD online isn’t listed above, you can likely find other studies that are more relevant to you. Alternatively, contact us if you have any questions about why people use our products.
